When we first moved to Yokota Air Base, I was looking for a licensed Aesthetician. Essentially my entire life, I have really struggled with large pores, acne, and acne scarring. It has been incredibly difficult to find a skin care treatment that actually worked stateside! But after doing a quick search on Facebook, Sid Rainge from Pure Skincare Lounge shot me a message to talk about my skincare concerns. Immediately, I felt comfortable talking with her. If you know Sid, you know EXACTLY what I am talking about! She was kind, caring, warm, had possible solutions to the issues I was hoping to address, and was extremely courteous. After taking a look at her website, I knew she was a professional that not only I could trust…but someone who truly cared about her clients.
After talking with her, I knew I wanted to work with her, but what I didn’t know, was how dear of a friend she would become. That is what is so cool about this small business community. The people that it holds, are one in a million. Not only because their services and experiences are so stellar, but because the person behind the business is a genuine human being.
Sid is one in a million, you guys. A licensed Aesthetician for over 14 years, she has a plethora of experiences that range from luxury spas, to medispas, to working with an Endocrinologist and Dermatologist. Sid has received extensive training in Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning, IPL Therapy and Laser Resurfacing. Sid is also a PCA Skin certified professional and has received certification in Microneedling, a service that I have been using for acne scarring for the last 7 months. And if that wasn’t enough…she also provides tanning services and waxing.
Yeah, guys. She’s like the Wonder Woman of beauty and skincare. You seriously have to check out her website to see all of the services she offers. There is literally something for everyone (the hydrojelly facials are my favorite). Five minutes on her website will show you everything you need to know. The glowing reviews will say it all.
14 years of experience means that Sid knows exactly how to care for her clients and assess and meet their skincare needs. It is incredibly impressive and comforting to walk into her studio and immediately feel at ease knowing you are in the best hands there is. Sid has carried her license from Arizona to Germany, where she opened up her first spa, to Yokota Air Base in Japan where she re-opened Pure Skincare Lounge. It takes someone with enormous grit to do that, and Sid is exactly the person to do it. There is simply no stopping her from serving her community while simultaneously being a professional leader and role model for other businesses both in and out of her industry. Every time we talk, I find that she has done something new to strengthen her skillset and knowledge, showcasing a deep commitment to constantly finding cutting edge approaches that work for her clientele. Her dedication to building an unwavering business is inspiring, and a major asset to our TuesdaysTogether group, where she has lead many conversations on what it means to execute a professional business.
When Sid works with someone, she doesn’t just provide a service. She provides an entire experience that leaves no question unanswered from beginning to end. It is so clear that her passion is providing not only innovative skincare services, but education for healthy skincare for life. The last time I popped into her studio, her letter board read, “WEAR SUNSCREEN :D” and I just had to laugh a little. Sunscreen is so important, yes, but that is exactly what you can expect from an appointment at Pure Skincare Lounge. Preventive measures and education that will help your skin look and feel healthy and glowing. I cannot tell how you empowering it is to have a professional in my corner who is highly qualified to undo the years of damage my skin has underwent with acne, but to help ensure that as an adult, my skin will be healthy and well taken care of.
