Stories of Motherhood

At KSP, we celebrate mamas every day, that’s a fact! But once a year near Mother’s Day, we offer special limited edition sessions designed to tell motherhood stories. We know moms are usually the ones taking the photos of their families, so it became our mission to put moms  back in the frame with their kiddos. We celebrate the art of slowing down and enjoying every cherished moment made with children, and the unique bond between moms and their littles…even when they are not so little anymore. Years down the road, we want these photos to still be hanging in your home…treasures that serve as timeless true tales to reflect that season of your life.

We know that you your stories as a parent are so important. You are doing great things raising your children and being incredible role models. This year, the moms in our KSP community shared some of their stories of motherhood. We asked them to tell us what one of their favorite things is about being a parent…and oh gosh, these are good.

Moving forward, this space will become a hub where more and more stories are told and shared. We hope to create a soft place for mamas to land, a space for parents to find cheerleaders and inspiration. And hopefully one day, a space to connect. We’ve got big things planned for this little space on the internet, friends.

Moms, we thank you so much for everything you do for your families. You are and your families are truly special to us!

Enjoy these little snippets of life from some incredible parents!

“One of my favorite things is the way it makes me feel when they come up out of nowhere and wrap their tiny little arms around my neck. Just the euphoric feeling of unconditional love makes all the hard times worth it!”

“When I randomly find ‘Mommy I love you’ on my shopping lists and menu whiteboard.”

“Just when you start to think you’re a broken record about certain topics (how to treat friends, self talk, etc) and you’re doubting yourself and your parenting methods, you see them reach out to a friend in kindness or repeat something you’ve told them. That feeling of pride in them is unlike any other and it feels great that your mundane life’s work really is being heard. And when they don’t live up to how you’ve taught (or I don’t live up to my own words) you still get a hug & a kiss at the end of the day. They still give you a chance. Also ALLLLLL the baby snuggles.”

“They make me better. Every single day. They drive me nuts and drive me forward all in the same moment. They forgive me when I act insane and tell me I’m a good mom no matter what. I love watching them grow into little people. They show me what true resilience looks like.”

“One of my favorite things about being a parent is getting to know my kids. They are truly such interesting and thoughtful people. Who they are continue to show me that every single person has such beautiful gifts to share.”
