I'm really glad
As a working gal, my wardrobe hauls double duty. I’m constantly looking for pieces that can carry me from office weekend with relative ease. By adding a pair of jeans or bright colored shorts, I have an easy weekend look in a snap.
A lot of my staples are from J.Crew and the J.Crew Factory because their line is “flexible” and timeless, giving me more bang for my buck.
The J.Crew Perfect Button Down is one of my favorite shirts. The stretch material is light weight, and fits me wonderfully. I have a hard time finding button downs that fit properly through the shoulders. I feel like the majority are poorly fitted. However, J.Crew has always carried at least one line of button ups/downs that fit perfectly. It’s easy for me to take the Perfect Button Down and pair it with a brightly colored pair of chinos for a weekend look.
The J.Crew Factory had a fab sale two weeks ago, so I stocked up on some chino shorts for summer. I scored these babies for 25 bucks, which is a STEAL.
The Cafe Capri is on sale right now (originally 89 marked down to 59), and I was able to pick up a few pairs for work. The only complaint I have about these is the stretch. After a full day at work, and a full day out at night, they were starting to lose their shape.
The City Linen Skirt is fun, flirty, and long enough to be considered work appropriate. There is a shorter version that it’s just as cute, but I wouldn’t be able to wear it to work without feeling a little uncomfortable. Also, the A line is a nice alternative to my pencil skirt collection.
There is one thing I’m always looking for: A bargain. Not just any old bargain, but a GOOD deal. The best online places to score is:
I. Love. These. Sites. Almost all of my accessories are from Very Jane or GroopDealz. Most everything is under 20 bucks, and the shipping isn’t ever over 5. The constantly are running deals on boutique websites and teaming up with Etsy sellers that make some great pieces.
There was no way I was going to pay $129 for a monogram necklace, but found a similar one GroopDealz. It’s really well made, I had direct contact with the vendor, and the shipping was pretty fast.
Other great replicas I have found have been:
-J.Crew Pave Gold Bracelet
-Pearl Studs (let’s be honest, I have gotten these before at Claire’s too)
-J.Crew Bauble Necklace for TEN dollars (not featured here)
-Large statement necklaces and costume jewelry
I know in ten years, this stuff may not be fashionable anymore, so what is the point on wasting my hard earned moolah on something that won’t look swanky then?
Hautelook is awesome for shoes. From Jack Rogers to Sperry, I have found some great deals. Hautelook has limited quantities of things, so they go lightening quick. Yes, I got into a mini shopping cart war with the Sperry’s I have featured here. Someone kept putting them in and out of their shopping cart. The last time they took them OUT of their cart, I put them IN MINE, and only had 5 minutes to enter in all of my credit card info. Phew. It was like a shoe workout, but well worth it. I only paid $60 for a great pair that retailed for $105.
