Yup. I've been there, my friend. And that's the thing, photographers aren't immune to this. I am ABSOLUTELY calling myself out. Here's why:

So what do we do? We both love capturing the details of our life and of our family, but we are WORTHY of being in those images, too. We gotta get in there because we are a part of our family. We are just as special.
That's where I put on my photographer hat and enter stage left, pick up the mic and say,
"As a photographer, I hire someone else to take our family photos. I'm not the one taking them. I want someone ELSE to give me the same experience I would give. Because being present in our photos and being part of the experience is part of what makes these photos so darn important."

These are the pauses life will invite you back to over and over again. Finding comfort in the noisy chaos of life, revisiting these images in your mind, and through the frames of your home.

...and it’s so much more than just knowing how to take a technically sound photo. This is documentation of your family, of your moment in time. This is me knowing how to keep your toddler occupied while I steal five minutes for photos with just you and your partner...which usually involves me holding one kiddo while asking another one to "assist me" and give you goofy prompts. This is me treating your teenager with respect, and knowing the way to interact with them, isn't the same as your eight year old. This is us taking breaks if someone in your crew feels overwhelmed from a new place or person. This is directing posing while chatting with you the whole time, paying attention to where the light hits jussssst right, and showing you just how beautiful it is when your family is all together.
This is so much more than clicking a button.

After I get your initial inquiry from your contact form, we chat about what dates work for you. All of your booking materials are emailed to you in a client portal.
All you have to do is head to the contact form by clicking here. Fill out the form with all of your details and the type of session you are interested in. Hit send, and voila! Step one complete!
As soon as you sign your contract and pay your retainer, you are on my books! It really is that easy! We touch base multiple times before your session with information to prepare. Until your session date, I am available by email to answer all of your questions!
