We are in the midst of making our desk!! Yes there is spray paint and desk parts galore in our garage! Instead of making ONE desk we are making TWO! We figured out how to make it work…er, Joe figured it out. I just counseled 🙂

The concept for my desk I think it’s really interesting. We used a bookshelf, cubby holes, and a piece of wood that is stacked for the top. Wait. What? You’ll just have to see the end results. 🙂 Joe’s desk…I can’t describe because he hasn’t really started his. Whoops.

Any ol’ hoot. I started making a really special project for our front hallway this afternoon. Thank you pinterest for once again getting my arse motivated to do something.

I loved everything ALMOST everything about this. Wouldn’t the white on white totally disappear if there were no shadows? I can see my mom coming to visit and us have this conversation.

Mom: “Now this would be such a cute project if you could read what it said!”

Kate: “It’s supposed to be that way. It’s…arty.”

Mom: “Well I can’t read it. But it’s a darn cute idea if you would have used color.”

With this conversation in my head, I marched to Hobby Lobby. Or Hob-Lob as it says on my poor, abused bank statement. Upon getting to Hobby Lobby I was hell-bent on making this project POP. I stood there and compared canvases for oh, a half hour. Real talk. Hobby Lobby sucks you in. Finally, I chose a longish one. Yeah. Longish.

After choosing my longish canvas, I grabbed four packs of chipboard lettering and some pastel-y green spray paint. Walking to my car I felt TRIUMPHANT. Why?! Because I had saved 20% with a coupon silly sassys. Too bad I ran out of “e”s for the saying and had to have Joe make me one out of a “c” and a “y”. Go creative mechanical husband!

Now, I wait. Rather anxiously might I add for my letters to dry and my canvas to dry. Maybe I’m all anxious because of the insane amounts of spray paint that I have inhaled in the past 48 hours from the desk building and sinage making going on in the garage.Excuse me. Not garage. MAN CAVE.

I’m rolling my eyes 🙂 Love you Joe!
