Drink More of the Good Stuff

Water Post

My resolution for this year was to drink more water. Oops, I kinda slacked on that one! Water is so important for our bodies, especially in the summer. It gets so hot here that if I don’t drink enough water, I feel slow, lethargic and light headed. I also get super cranky and am prone to horrible cramps in my legs and feet. Runner problems 101, right? 😉

One of my favorite bloggers, Emily from The Freckled Fox, was training for a fitness competition and received some awesome advice from her trainer about water consumption. Basically for every pound you weigh, you should drink an ounce of water. If the standard bottle of water is 16 ounces (which is what a lot of us drink from on a day to day basis), you can calculate how many bottles to drink daily by dividing your weight by 16. If you number your bottles, you can track easily how much H20 you’ve consumed 🙂 Reuse them or mark off on a larger reusable bottle where your full 16 ounce measurements are.

Drink up! Your body will thank you!
